We are building for the answer layer.

ShopRise is an initiative by Nodefy × Webfluencer. A software studio and an SEO agency who kept running into the same wall from opposite sides, and decided to build the missing tool instead of the tenth workaround.

Search is splitting in two, and almost every merchant is only optimizing one half of it.

For twenty years, being findable meant one thing: a blue link, a position, a click. That layer has not gone anywhere and it still pays the bills. But a growing share of the buying decision now happens before anyone reaches a link at all, inside an answer written by a model that either read your product page carefully, or did not read it at all.

The answer layer has its own crawlers, its own ranking logic and its own citation economics. It rewards structure, specificity and machine-readable context over backlinks and clever titles. It does not send you a weekly report. For nearly every store we look at, it is simply dark: nobody knows whether they are in the answer, and nobody has a tool that can tell them.

That is the gap ShopRise was built to close. Not a dashboard that grades you, and not another audit you file away. An operating system for the second layer: the crawl, the structure, the publishing and the measurement, running inside the store you already have.

If a model cannot read your catalogue, it will recommend somebody else's.

The line we keep coming back to
The split, visualised

Two layers. Two rulebooks.
One catalogue in the middle.

The link layer is mature, crowded and well understood. The answer layer is young, open and barely tooled. They are graded on different things, and your store is being judged by both at the same time.

Layer two

The answer layer

One synthesised answer, a handful of cited sources, and no seat for anyone else.

Who crawls it
GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, plus shopping agents that never render your theme at all.
What wins
Structure, specificity, verifiable facts, machine-readable context. Being the easiest source in the category to quote.
What you control
Schema, product data, brand context, agent feeds, policy and availability. Most of it is unset on most stores.
How you measure it
Citations per query, share of answer, how the model describes you, and the revenue that follows. Nobody sends you this report.
Young, open, and where the decision now happens.
Principles

Six things we refuse to compromise on.

Every one of these has already cost us something: a feature we cut, a shortcut we did not take, a deal we did not close. That is how you know they are real.

  • 01

Ship to the store, not to a PDF

Advice that never gets implemented is not advice, it is a receipt. Every recommendation in ShopRise ends its life as a change published to Shopify, not as a slide in a deck nobody opens.

  • 02

    Every recommendation carries its reasoning

No black-box score. When we tell you to restructure a product page, you see the query, the live SERP, the answer a model is giving today and the exact gap between them.

  • 03

    Never train on customer data

Your catalogue, your content and your performance data belong to you. We do not train models on them and we never pool them across merchants. That is a product decision, not a policy footnote.

  • 04

Automate the boring 90%, review the important 10%

Machines are excellent at six thousand schema blocks. They are not excellent at your brand voice. The Change Queue draws that line on purpose and puts a human on the right side of it.

  • 05

    Measure in revenue, not rankings

A position is a proxy. We report what a citation is actually worth, attributed through GA4, alongside what it cost to earn. If it does not move revenue, we should not have shipped it.

  • 06

Move at the speed of the answer layer

The engines change their crawling, citing and shopping behaviour every month. We ship weekly, and everything we ship lands in a public changelog you can read before you buy.

Origin

How ShopRise was born.

Two teams kept meeting the same problem from opposite ends of it.

Webfluencer, an SEO and e-commerce agency, kept watching client products quietly disappear from AI answers. The rankings were fine. The traffic was fine. But when a customer asked ChatGPT which one to buy, the brand was simply not in the room, and nothing in the standard toolkit could explain why, let alone fix it.

Nodefy, a product engineering studio, kept building the same repairs by hand: schema pipelines, structured feeds, Admin API publishers. One bespoke script per client, written from scratch, thrown away, written again.

At some point the obvious happened. The agency's pattern library and the studio's plumbing became one product. ShopRise shipped its first version in 2026 with 16 modules and a very short pitch: stop advising, start publishing. The two studios still build it together, from Amsterdam, for merchants across the Netherlands, Belgium, the DACH region and the rest of Europe.

  • Webfluencer SEO & e-commerce

An agency that has spent years moving real revenue for real stores. It brings the operator's judgement: what to fix, in what order, and what it is worth once it is fixed.

  • Nodefy Product engineering

A software studio that had already built the plumbing by hand, ten times over. It brings the crawlers, the pipelines, the Shopify integration and the product itself.

The team

Small team. Four disciplines.

We are not going to show you a wall of headshots and invented job titles. Here is what the team actually consists of, and what each part of it is responsible for.

  • Engineering

The crawlers, the Shopify app, the Admin API publishing pipeline and the 20 background jobs that run behind every store.

  • Search & content

Search strategy and editorial standards. The rules that decide what a model should be able to say about your brand, and what it never should.

  • Data

Keyword and SERP pipelines, daily citation tracking across the engines, and the attribution that ties an answer back to an order.

  • Product & design

The interface, the Change Queue, and the hundred small decisions that make a six thousand page catalogue reviewable by one person on a Tuesday.

We hire slowly and in the open. If you are genuinely strong in one of these four and honestly curious about the other three, write to hi@shoprise.ai. Tell us what you have shipped, not where you studied.

Built on

Four dependencies, chosen on purpose.

We are not shy about what runs underneath. These four decide what ShopRise can know, what it can say, where it can publish and how it proves any of it was worth doing.

  • Claude Anthropic
    Reasoning & generation

Every semantic map, editorial brief and draft runs through Claude. We optimize for reasoning quality over token price, every single time.

  • SEMrush Semrush
    Keyword & SERP data

Volume, difficulty and live SERP composition, queried per market. Real numbers from a real API, never estimated and never rounded into a vibe.

  • Admin API Shopify
    Publishing

The reason a recommendation becomes a live change. Metafields, schema, redirects and content written straight into the store you already run.

  • GA4 Google
    Attribution

Sessions from AI referrers, matched back to orders, so visibility in the answer layer can finally be reported as a revenue line.

ShopRise is Shopify-first and, for now, Shopify-only. If you are on another platform we would rather tell you that today than sell you a roadmap.

Come and see the other half of search.

Run a free scan and get a report on how the answer layer currently sees your store. No deck, no discovery call, just the data.
